In response to a changing senior service industry, IGW Architecture developed a new campus master plan for Clark-Lindsey Village, a continuing care retirement community in Urbana, Illinois. IGW engaged the village in a collaborative planning effort that included an analysis of existing conditions versus current market trends, programming anticipated facility needs, and exploring the alternative site and building concepts leading to a preferred direction.
The plan provided strategic guidance for future facility and service changes from a functional, economic, and market perspective. Key elements of the new master plan include condominium-style independent living towers, freestanding residential villas and townhomes, wellness and cultural center, assisted living and memory care facilities, expansion of therapy space and services, and existing health center upgrades.
Various infrastructure improvements were also planned to support future growth, including walks, drives, parking, landscaping, and the expansion of on-site storage, maintenance, and laundry facilities.
