Collaborative Planning and Design
In order to give form to our clients’ visions, IGW directs a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary design process that seeks to balance aesthetic demands, functional requirements, environmental responsibility and financial considerations. We believe a team philosophy and approach are essential to creating projects of lasting value with the most satisfying projects conceived and brought to life through true collaboration. This means that the design team closely meshes with client representatives at every stage of project development, creating the reality of a larger “team” including all vested and interested parties, not just the A-E technical component. With various alternative project delivery methods, this collaboration extends to the contractor through all phases of design and construction.
Our approach recognizes that the planning and design process is enlightened and enriched by the close involvement of those who will use the facilities being planned, those involved in the funding, operations and maintenance of the facilities and those constructing the facilities. In this way, the objectives and goals of the client are made integral to project development and the talents and insights of all project participants help to optimize project outcomes.
